I like Bunnings. I don't think they're that much cheaper, but their customer service is great and they have a briliant range of stock. A visit is the highlight of my (infrequent) trips into the "big smoke"

You've got to hand it to Bunnings. Of all the stores I've ever shopped at, Bunnings really goes over and beyond the call of duty when it comes to customer service and training well informed knowledgable staff. Everyone seems to know everything! Everyone is friendly and the customer service if you have a problem is first class compared to most other large chain stores!

I had an experience a few years ago where my DD 1yo fell from a trolley. Within seconds someone from the next aisle heard me yell and was just amazing in the way everything was handled by this employee.

The other day I was there and was looking for a staff member. I found someone not even in the section I was after (lighting) and told them I needed help to find a bulb. All I did was hold it up and within a second he knew instantly it was for a nightlight and where it was located. I mean what the? There are a zillion bulbs available at Bunnings, and this guy knew immediately what it was for. I was impressed.

Then onto another area and bailed up some guy got chatting about the ducted heating filter thingies I saw there. The information he knew about them was astounding and also knew that they were expecting to release the type I wanted for next Winter (return duct)

Well done Bunnings for having staff that know what they are talking about !!!
