My son bought a car at Heritage Wholesale Vehicles from Waterford, Queensland when he was in Townsville early this year. He paid $2875.50. He was going to arrange for the car to be shipped to Townsville but before it left the showroom in Waterford, he had to come home unexpectedly. He notified Scott Summers of Heritage Wholesale Vehicles on 9 April who agreed to cancel the shipping and my son was naive enough to consent to a refund of $1800, Scott having pocketed $1075.50 for his trouble.
With the funds still not transferred by 24 April I spoke with Scott who said he would process the refund on receipt of an email from my son, which he received that afternoon.
My son is still waiting for the refund to be processed and Scott blames inefficient office staff for the delay.
I am appalled that the company has chosen to keep over $1000 from the sale of the car which was never finalised, and now delaying paying the paltry refund agreed to.
I want my son's refund processed without further delay - this company does not even have a website and my feeling is they are our typical used car dealers.
