We bought a low end HP notebook at JB two weeks ago.

Today the user experienced the dreaded "cannot find boot device" error that means either the motherboard or the hard drive failed.

Since he was near a large JB store he went in to see if they could help, but expecting to be fobbed off to warranty support.

JB staff did a quick check of the HP, I emailed a copy of the receipt, and they swapped the unit with a smile. In and out in 20 minutes. Excellent.
