How does the NGE Legal Panel work for NGE Website members?

The NGE Legal Panel works in 2 ways.

1. NGE members can request a solicitor by ticking the box in Gripe HQ and/ or Have Your Say at the time of posting.

If a lawyer feels they may be able to help, they will then make contact with you within 5 working days.

2. NGE members may peruse the list of law firms available from the NGE home page. NGE members are free to contact any of the law firms listed at any time for free.

How much does it cost to have a lawyer contact me?

The first consultation with your solicitor is free. All fees after this appointment are negotiated between you and your solicitor.

What if I am unable to travel to my solicitor?

Communication may be undertaken between you and your solicitor by email, phone, snail mail and face to face.

Does NGE guarantee that all the solicitors listed are good ones?

While NGE cannot guarantee the quality of the listed law firms, we do undertake to check with you for feedback about your experience and to make membership decisions, if necessary, according to all feedback received.

What does Gold Panel Membership mean?

Gold Panel Membership indicates that the Law Firm listed pays BrandAide an annual service fee to receive the eAlert service. This is opposed to a listing-only on the NGE site. Please note the Gold level is NOT intended as a commentary, by either NGE or BrandAide, upon the Law Firm itself.

What if I do not like the law firm who requests to assist me?

In extraordinary circumstances, NGE may re-allocate your gripe to a law firm other than the one who initially fills your assistance request.
