New 1% Surcharge

Well - I beg to differ on the BPAY from CC not being charged the extra 1%...

I have just received my various Optus bills for the month, and the 1% has not been charged on the TV, Internet, or Mobile phone bills - but it HAS been charged on the home phone line bill.

The Mobile bill was actually paid early for last month (paid on Sept 29) so we'll have to see if next month's bill will have the BPAY by CC 1% charge on it... *grin*

Care factor involved really is about 0 though - it's about 35c per bill that they are slugging me... so be it...

Correction on that front, I did a trial and paid my bill by BPAY CC and they charged the fee. I phoned up and questioned them on it claiming that it was a BPAY payment, and i was corrected. So its there to stay which I am a little disappointed on. But for the convience of using my credit card, I can live with a few dollars. I even went to my local Mobil Service station who wanted to charge me 3.4% for using an amex card. so where do we go? do we all start using cash again like the 1920's?
