Wow that is pathetic, stealing right before your eyes, and when you had gone they could pocket that $20 and have the books balanced by the end of the day. Aren't many people becoming so low today. If i had been you i would have said i paid, i am paying no further and furthermore i won't be coming back. And if they sent police after you well you had a witness to say you had paid and then well that place oughta get booked for wasting police time.

Last Sunday my partner and I visited the Gilles Plains outlet of noodlebox for takeaway.

After ordering I handed the serving staff member $25 dollars for a meal that totaled approx $21. Meanwhile I looked away from the cashier to find some change that may have made the required total. The staff member proceeded to hold up the $5 note I had given him asking for an additional $20.

I insisted I had already handed to him $25, also witnessed by my partner. The response was that I hadn’t and that I was welcome to come behind the counter to verify this. (a futile exercise at best). Meanwhile 2 other staff members stood by and watched silently as if the whole episode was all too taxing.

I have since received no reply from either the franchise owners nor the outlet after emailing outlining the above.

Not even looking for reimbursement but service like that borders on criminal.
