Bad luck for Samsung.

They failed to pay the Tribunal Order for $782
I then lodged a garnishee order against their bank account through the local court.
Their bank sent me a cheque for $851. I had also issued a writ of execution to the Sheriffs Office which costs of $61 formed part of the debt. The Sheriffs Office are still chasing them for $62.83, incuding interest ! I still have my Samsung LCD Monitor 204B 20.1 inch. They haven't rung me about it so far. Unlikely they will but I won't be giving it back after what they put me through. Possession is 9/10th's of the law they say !! They show great contempt for their customers and are unscrupulous .

Further Update , Consumer Tribunal Ordered Samsung to pay me the sum of $782 immediately as goods were "not of merchantable quality" Samsung didn't appear at all. However, despite emailing Samsung the Tribunal Order and numerous phone calls and also sending them a copy of the "Money Order" Samsung still dragged their feet and wouldn't pay. So I have lodged the Money Order with the Local Court and am currently enforcing the debt via the court. I have garnisheed their bank account held with Bank of America. You guessed it, Samsung still won't pay me my money they were ordered, they have told Bank of America NA not to action the COURT ORDER !!! Not only is their customer service hopeless, they ignore orders of a court. I am going to pursue the Bank of America NA if they don't remit the monies from Samsung's bank account. Plus I have other enforcement action planned if they don't pay up. I have an enforceable judgment through Blacktown Local Court NSW against Samsung Electronics Australia Pty Ltd

I purchased this monitor on the 1/5/2006. The warranty policy changed to a "refurbished replacement" on the 1/1/2007 7 months later !!

So I believe I am entitled to a brand new replacement under my existing 3 year warranty !!

There is some cable /wire that can bee seen on the right side through the LCD screen behind the TFT , it is quite distracting, it appears it has come loose .

I wish I could post a photo , you can see it very clearly

I have a faulty LCD monitor. I have a copy of their replacement policy under warranty. Also there is an article on ItNews website quoting their marketing development manager that they provide brand new replacement LCD computer monitor under their 3 year warranty. However when you contact their call centre, nobody has ever heard of it and all the want to offer is a "refurbished" replacement.

I have tried to reason with them and fax them them their own policy but it's like talking to a brick wall and nobody wants to accept any responsibility.
