Yep my experience at their Redcliffe (Q) store was apalling. I made comment about the "freshly mashed potato" which so obviously was instant.Asked to speak to store manager then told they would call police, interesting as I had not raised my voice, threatened anyone and I believe that no one else heard my comment?
The name says it all - really who would eat at a place called pigs breath?

I personally love Hogs Breath its one of our most visited places because they cater for the kids very well with their kids meals which include the meal drink and dessert for them. However I admit I havent had any of their burgers or steak sandwiches etc. I go their for their steaks and we chose to go there because we feel like a steak, I admit I havent even really looked at the smaller meals on the menu as if I wanted a steak sandwich/burger/etc Id go to a small cafe rather than a restaurant like Hogs Breath is. So far with the many times we've visited in the past year (which at times has been once a fortnight) we have always been happy.
Perhaps Id notice a difference if I did order one of the smaller dishes.

Organisation name: Hogs Breath Cafe
Issue type: Complaint

Having just arrived home from lunch at the Hogsbreath Cafe at Knox, I am still coming to terms with just how bad it was.

My husband and I decided to have the Aussie burger advertised on the specials board for $12.90, but when we ordered it we were then asked if wanted any extras such as egg (extra $2.20) or bacon (extra $2.70). The two ingredients that make an Aussie burger an Aussie burger are egg and beetroot and Hogsbreath have decided to exclude the egg.

So instead I ordered a "steak" sandwich. Hmmm, pitiful. It was the smallest steak sandwich I have ever seen. The "steak" described in the menu as "grilled", wasn't fit to be fed to dogs. They had tried to tenderise it by cooking it to within an inch of it's life, but at the end of the day sinew is still sinew and not worth the $13.95 that they charged. It did come with a couple of "fries" that looked like they had some sort of batter on them and about five salad leaves sans dressing.

I'd have been much better of walking down to Hungry Jacks and ordering a burger meal. The only thing that Hogsbreath offered that HJ's doesn't is a plate and cutlery. The food at HJ's is better (and I never thought I'd actually say that) and more realistically priced.
