As hotel owners, we were given 2 tickets to State of Origin at Suncorp for 11th June 2008, by our beer supplier. I immediately rang Grand Chancellor Hotel in Brisbane and booked a twin room. This was available and I gave my credit card details over the phone at time of booking. At no stage was I told I would have to re-confirm. On the afternoon of Wed 11th June I rang Grand Chancellor to make sure a disabled room would be available as promised, and was told my room had been sold to someone else. The reason given was that the Grand Chancellor had been unable to contact us on the mobile number given but no missed calls were on the phone. By this stage I was frantic, having come from Bundaberg area and no hope of a bed for the night. I then rang the wonderful company "Capital Reservations" which found us a room at Royal on the Park for the same rate.
