We went to the Pancake Parlour for mothers day this year as it is one place where all our family enjoy going, what a mistake!!
We decided to go late so we missed the heavy lunch trade and arrived around 2.30pm. It was still quite busy but most people were on desserts as we were ording mains. After 40 minutes and still not even any drinks we were informed they "had forgotten to put the drink order in"....drinks finally arrived about 15 minutes later. After 70 minutes we still had no food despite numerous staff saying they would check into it. Finally we were told the order had been lost and could they take it again.
It took 95 minutes to get our food and then our desserts arrived before we had even finished!
We had been told to see the cashier when leaving as they would "look after us and fix up their mistakes by reducing the bill" but even paying was a nightmare.
Despite there being a huge sign saying "No splitting of bills" they had two tables of people leaving ahead of us who all wanted to pay seperatly...all 22 of them!
We did mention we were promised a discount when we finally got to pay after standing in line for 15 minutes and got 2 drinks free. Big Deal!
I would never go there on a busy day again, they were hopeless.

My partner and i went to a mexican sample night at the Pancake parlour in Canberra on Wednsday the 7th May.
We hadnt beeen to a sample night for a while but remembering years ago it was all you could eat and the add says "food till the pantry is bare".
Our booking was early 5.30pm arriving before 6pm it was still quiet night while we were there.(No excuses about staff been run off there feet).
The waiting staff we had were cold and when we asked how the sample night worked we were left in the dark no clear explainations, just that they would bring it out to us,our food arrived 3 or 4 small entree portions and we were quickly pushed out of the pancake parlour.
We still didnt feel right about the night so a few days later i rang and asked to speak to the manager and see if he could shed some light on the sample night nothing gained there either.
We were both really annoyed by now so we decided to email pancake parlours head office on the 14th May with no reply back to us,we again sent 2 emails on the 29th May finally a reply back from them.
We responded back to head office and they sent a reply back on 30th May saying they would get the manager from Canberra to reply back to us.
The manager from Canberra emailed us on the 30th May,he was in the USA at that stage and asked for 24hours to find out what the problem was.
We hadnt heard anything back from him,so on the 10th of June we sent an email to head office saying that we still hadnt heard anything at all from anyone, they emailed back saying they had forwarded my email to the Canberra manager.
We were getting more and more frustrated and on the 14th June we sent another email to the Canberra manager of the pancake parlour and to this date we still have not received any emails.
Needless to say we are both not impressed from the start or at this point in time in the length it is taken to follow up this problem.
