Wedding decorator hell

I travelled from Kalgoorlie to get married in Perth last year at a renowned hotel, but had the worst experience with wedding decorating company Linen a la carte. The owner of the company made many wonderful promises at our initial meeting, none of which were followed through with. Infact, she claimed that she never even made the promises - even though my husband was there and confirmed it! I didn't think too much of it at first until....

She had the nerve to call me the night before my wedding at 10.30pm saying she was not setting up my wedding because we had not made payment and demanded a cash payment. I was shocked as I had made the payment 4 days prior and even emailed the receipt number through. If she had not received it she should have called several days before - or during the day would be nice! She was really rude and abrupt on the phone to my mum and made many threatening demands. It took 3 hours of convincing, emailing proof of payment and crying before she eventually accepted the payment. It was 1.30am, the day of my wedding.

I was bitterly disappointed with quality of the setup. Chair covers looked unclean and carelessly fixed and she didn't set up my centrepieces as we clearly discussed. Even the venue people commented to some family members that they had never seen a setup this bad.

I don't think this company is suited to an industry full of stressed out and emotional brides and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I will never forgive them for what they put me through.
