`About a week ago, my mother contacted Gary Renouf Plumbing to fix a leaky tap in the shower and in the kitchen.
On of the servicemen came to our home, it was like he was trying to win some sort of race because he did the work in half an hour and charged $89 for just the labour alone, plus $30 for 4 washers and an $89 call out fee. The serviceman that came to us was as ignorant as hell and also managed to crack a tap in the shower and 3 days later the kitchen tap starts dripping again, back to square one. Not to mention he left the place like a PIG STY!
I called the company abit irrate as my mother is a pensioner and I'm just fed up with people ripping her off and the response I got was "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?". I said "I'm a customer and that's not how you speak to an obviously disgruntled customer". Me being in the customer service industry for several years, know how to deal with irrate customers and regardless, they are always right so it's just a matter of dealing with it and listening to them and being empathetic etc ... Mind you we had a 90 day warranty!!
I mentioned how the tap was leaking again and that the serviceman cracked the tap in the shower. But he denied it all, saying everything was good. I asked them to at least replace the cracked tap but instead of doing so, they accused me of lying about it! HOW DARE THEY? So I've lodged a complaint with the Dept of Fair Trading but am writing this to let you all know that if you're looking for a trusty plumber DO NOT CONTACT GARY RENOUF PLUMBING. These people prey on vulnerable people!!
