NGE Note: In fairness to Blue Haven this gripe has been removed. Blue Haven has bent over backwards to contact this member who has provided invalid details when joining NGE. |

It seems the harder you try to get Blue Haven Pools to do something the slower they go. After trying to get a date out of when they would start, the builder rang me and verbally abused me for about 10 minutes before hanging up and saying he wasn't going to do the job anymore. So Blue Haven Pools gave me a new builder. OK thats great and so far he seems nice. Although it has only pushed out the time before they start work (probably another 2 weeks). My wife is fed up and doesn't want the pool anymore. I try to assure her it will be worth it. This is painful.
Note - keep diary of all communications. |

When these representatives make these claims ie/ swimming in summer in your case(s) or for myself for other products I'm contracting to purchase - I make them put these claims into the contract.
Some do, many don't & thats when negotiations come to an end
Perhaps others considering Blue Haven (although after reading this page of complaints, I certainly would give them a wide berth) they should tell the salesperson to include their sales waffle into the contract with attached penalties or the option to terminate the contract with full refund if they don't honour their claims. |

Another Blue Haven Pool saga
Never before have I come across a more unprofessional company we still waiting on our pool renovation to be finished despite our contract being signed in July, with the usual catchphrase "swimming in summer"
The Salesmen sold us on the buying power "one stop shop" to renovate our pool /add deck etc.
We were also assured that the contract price was fixed and he understood that we had a budget to work to, well that could not be further from the truth , their operating practice is "that's not in the contract " you will have to pay extra for that .
We have made numerous complaints to Head Office who simply refer you to the Project manager (This poor Guy is balancing so many projects )
So despite escalating to the top no interest is shown in our distress.
Any advise on cancelling contract much appreciated. |

Sales Rep from Blue Haven Pools, opens with the line - How would you like to be swimming before Christmas. We were told $29900 all inclusive. But then later find out we are responsible for disposing of 100 tonnes of dirt and the price didn't include certification fees.
I take this on the chin and am still excited about the idea of having a pool.
Certification was issued on the 20th of October. Our assigned project manager turns up on the 5th of November and says he can't have pool finnished by Christmas, more likely mid-late January(or does that really mean March?). I have one week off between Christmas and New Years, have people coming Christmas Day and am feeling burnt.
I still believe Blue Haven could get the pool in before Christmas if they really wanted to.
Stay tuned |

We have just had a pool built by blue haven, construction took 6 months and now we have discovered a leak into a neighbours property. We have been advised that the pipes were buried only in soil, no sand or gravel used and they are only a couple of inches from the neighbours fence. Our neighbour, an elderly widow is almost to the point of tears. We have had to cover the water outlets with cling film becuase water is leaking into her yard (right near her slab) at 5-10lts a minute and we couldn't let her continue stressing whilst we waited for blue haven.
We are at our wits end. My husband spoke to someone a week and a half ago about this issue, they came and left saying they'd send someone back. We rang this morning and advised how urgent it was and the man on the phone (forgot name) advised he would up the urgency of the matter, apparently this was then neglected becuase when we spoke to the person in charge of warranty he had no notice of the call.
He has now agreed to send someone tomorrow morning, but considering blue haven have said this before and not come good on the promise we are not holding our breath.
I am writing this becuase I want ACTION, I want blue haven to contact us for once. I want the pool I was promised and the pool I paid for, not a broken one. I don't want Blue haven to try and wriggle out of the repairs, I want them to just come and fix it. I want them to appologise to my neighbour and I want the problem recitified so that it never happens again.
So far this is a comment, how i rate my next message depends upon blue haven's actions. |

Blue Haven Head Office requested contact details for shortnbald. Unfortunately the member has refused.
NGE members are again reminded that NGE is a gripe resolution service. Selecting NO to contact with the company defeats the purpose entirely. |

I must say that my dealings with Blue Haven Pools have been positive to date. They submitted the plans to Council within two weeks of the contract being signed. I received the approved plans one week ago, so let's hope from here on in all goes "swimmingly". And here's to no excessive extra costs. |

a sales organisation that only wants to extract the most amount of money ( AFTER a CHEAP CONTRACT)
If they were in the car industry their advertising would have them in Jail!
In 25 years... I have never heard a good report!
It scares me that they are still allowed to trade ! |

Hello. My name is Remonda from Blue Haven Pools Head Office. Building a swimming pool is an enjoyable experience for thousands of Australias annually. We build up to ten times more than our nearest competitor so its not suprising that we are talked about more often.
Being the industry leader with a reputation to protect, we work VERY hard to keep our customers happy.
We certainly welcome all kinds of feedback and get on to gripes immediately. Should anyone wish to contact us directly we can provide HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of happy customer testimonials from all over NSW.
Personally being in the industry now for over 15 years, I know that each day in construction can be challenging for builders, tradesmen and customers alike. A swimming pool is a construction process which involves many skilled trades, a top notch qualified supervisor, and an adaptable family who is also committed to doing whatever it takes to build their dream pool. Sometimes it is difficult to estimate all costs and works, but in the end we always get there together and the finished product is always a quality one built to last for generations. An investment the family will love.
We have been building pools for almost four (4) generations and have the expertise and the bulk buying power to build you a quality pool for the best value possible! |

I'm giving Blue Haven a chance. I've been so disappointed with the utter lack of communication from our local office ... there's a long list but I was never even advised that we had to arrange the electricity installation - I had assumed that 'supplied and installed' meant 'supplied and installed'. But that's OK ... I can deal with that, it's the lack of communication that has left us swinging in the breeze!
But today I rang their head office in Sydney, and I'm hoping it will all get better from here.
For a company with such a prominent and seemingly successful brand (we wanted an above ground pool and they were recommended to us by a fibreglass pool company), I've been sadly disappointed thus far.
So here's hoping it all goes 'swimmingly' from here and that we end up with a fantastic pool. |

Mmmm little did I know that when I posted a comment back on Feb 24th about Mirage Pools in the “Concrete pool Construction “ area , it would turn into an ongoing slanging match 6 months later. It is interesting reading all the different comments from everyone. After extensive researching, I did not proceed with Mirage due to feedback from the Dept of Fair Trading and others who have had they pool built by Mirage. I went with another company, Crystal Pools and to date we are quite happy with them but there is always the unforseen you have to try and budget for….like hitting more rock than you expected etc etc. The comments about Blue Haven are spot on. One of our friends had there deposit taken last September and it was only submitted to council in January and they are still going with their construction and ours is almost completed. This website has provided me with plenty of info and a few laughs as well with various company reps hiding behind assumed logons. I have a simple rule that I use in business and in life…When in doubt, don’t. This applied this in my decision process and I can’t be happier. |
