Which government agency do you beleive scrutinises AAMI's phone calls? The entire call system with AAMI is run from the St Kilda Rd office and can be managed in a number of ways from team leaders let alone the CEO. You are very wrong.

This is the reason there is no way the original poster's version of events is fantasy.

Its not a 4 month intensive training program. Its call centre work for god sakes, its not rocket science. Its the entry level for most people in the insurance industry. Trained monkeys with less hair.

My mother worked in a senior position with AAMI and Just Car until retiring last year and they are deeply scrutinied by the government to the point where they need to record all calls - and to ensure this is done, not even the CEO can override the PBX system to do this recording. The systems in place also allow for any call to be recalled based upon either your account or your phone number (Even if you block your number or have a private number) for up to 7 years.

Also, I think you're blaming your grievance on the racist thing because your race is different to the Team Leader. Just because you are not hearing what you want to hear does not mean they are being racist against you.

If they are threatening to take you to court for defamation I doubt it would be because of your post on this website. I think you are making that up.

Finally, the privacy act prevents anyone holding a AFSL to discuss any details even someone else's phone number or even colour of their car with you withour having written consent after the opening of the account or consent on the opening of the account as a listed source ever - the staff undergo a 4 month intensive training program where they are drilled this daily, and face high disciplainary actions no matter what level in the company they are if they breach this.

P.S. I personally do not work for AAMI.

Anybody who has ever called Just Car Insurance will know the original post is a complete lie. All their claims are dealt with by AAMI and they tell you to call AAMI !

I work as a motor assessor for _____ and All calls in and out ARE recorded and if a complaint had been made through the correct channels the calls to this person would have to be listened to by management and im safe to say that instant dismissal would most certainly follow.
Not only that but Jakethapeg would be able to sue them mostlikly and have the recordings as his own evidence so im with DERAT all smoke no fire.

I didn't beleive the first post at all. The systems they have in place just don't support your first version of events.

To suggest that they took it that seriously to raise legal action for it is laughable.

I have requested that NGE remove this post from the forum as The Insurance company has threatened to sue me for defamation. I am not a lawyer so I am not aware if telling the truth is a sufficient defence in such an action (and I do not have the inclination to find out).

If anyone needs to be racially vilified - just give Just Car Insurance claims department a call. They will be happy to oblige. I was calling on behalf of a customer whose car had been stolen to find out the status of his claim. The customer has previously been advised that it is "none of his business" how his claim is proceeding. When you ask to speak to a Team Leader - "T" refuses point blank. She refuses to give ANY information out. I am fully aware of the Privacy Act and none of the information requested would be breaching this. When I insisted on speaking to a Manager - she began a tirade of "im not transferring you, Im not telling you this and would not say why despite repeated requests. When I commented that she was behaving like a 2 year old brat (not pausing so i could speak) she let loose with a racial insult and hung up on me.

Despite calling back 4 times and requesting to speak to a Manager - Just Car Insurance refused to do so and kept transferring me back to the ultra professional "T". Despite claiming they record all conversations - conveniently they now claim this particular conversation WAS NOT taped (so it cannot be produced as evidence in court i presume).

Funny but they do not show this side of their alleged customer service ontheir ads.
