Buyer beware when dealing with Crown Catering!! We booked 2 functions with them, the 1st one held at my home last Sat. We were initially impressed when the owner came to our house personally to oversee the setup and assured us that we would be delighted with our event and everything would be perfect. This couldn't have been further from the truth. Whilst the food was reasonable, we had several concerns we tried to address with the principal of the business including food that we were charged for (but not served); run-sheet the staff had was completely different to what we had arranged, inadequate space in marque despite having raised these concerns prior to event; never received complimentary case of champagne that was promised with our order; ran out of ice within the first hour (this was a 5 hour function) and the list goes on. On top of this they didn't come to pack up and collect rubbish, marque etc until I rang them on Tuesday morning. My backyard looked like a war zone and given the heat, flies everywhere and food scraps all over the place. When trying to address these issues with the owner, he was incredibly rude to me and hung up on me!! When I called him back (after several attempts)he then informed me Crown Catering would not be doing our function to be held at my office the next day, for 50 of my clients!! Given the time of year it is now impossible for me to find an alternative caterer, especially less than 12 hours notice and I am now facing a function with my clients and no caterers. In summary, Crown Catering was quite happy to take our money (we have spent almost $10K)but not keen to hear our complaints or even bother to find a solution. The owners attitude is beyond belief, highly unprofessional and extremely aggressive. I am posting this ad as a warning to others so that this extremely embarrassing situation does not occur to someone else.

This is nonsense. I am the one who visited this customer. I have have worked hard for 10 years totally dedicated to customer service in this business. We did everything in our power to help this customer. Her requests were outragous. This customer did not, and has not paid one dollar ( not one $1.00) towards any of her catering requests. I had to make the decision not to serve this customer any more. She is up set and i am sorry about that. But honestly, there is so much more to this story. Any one who is contemplating using this company is welcome to conact me directly and i will give you the evidence ( including emails and invoices ) to prove it. We love what we do, are proud of the effort we all put in and have hundreds of great customers to prove it. Contact me at Crown Catering and ask for David Warne. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
