Couple of weeks ago I was sitting around working on my computer when all of a sudden I thought I'd been stabbed in the lower abdomen with a kitchen knife. It didn't go away after half and hour and the pain was increasing so I rushed off to Mona Vale hospital Emergency.

The receptionist immediately recognised there was a significant problem and grabbed a nurse from the back and within minutes I was in an emergency room bed with morphine drip attached. Off to x-ray and the film confirmed the initial guess of the nurse. Kidney stones.

Over the next few hours of indescribable agony everyone in the hospital was absolutely sensational, making sure they looked after everything until the pain went away.

I can't say enough good things about every single person who I came into contact with. Receptionist, X-Ray tech, orderlies, gurney operators, doctors, nurses, etc. Such incredible customer service, personal attention, attention to detail. Everything.

It was almost enough to want to get sick again! Well, maybe not quite that good. But I've never experienced anything like it at a medical care facility anywhere in the world.
