On behalf on Sal Chlor manufacturing I would like to post the following reply to the defamatory comments posted by NGE Member club.
There is NO Design fault with this Chlorinator.
NGE Member club has made this false statement, which at the request of Sal Chlor he has been unable to substantiate, he has further made the above defamatory statement prior to allowing Sal Chlor any right of reply, once this matter had been bought to our attention on 16/01/10.
On two occasions Sal Chlor has asked for the opportunity to inspect this unit, both of these offers have been refused by NGE Member club representative.
NGE Member club has subsequently made threats and demands to Sal Chlor manufacturing, which include they myst fix his Chlorinator at no cost. Even though he has not allowed the Company the courtesy of inspecting the product to establish the problem or the cause.
It should further be noted NGE Member club has had the equipment installed on his pool for well in excess of 2 years, with NO reported problems to Sal Chlor.
It would appear NGE Member club intentions are purely of the malicious nature. His only motivation is to obtain for free something to which he has no entitlement.
Sal Chlor has a reputation for manufacturing an excellent product, a reputation it has maintained for 30 years. As disappointing as it is, it has now become our opinion that there are some people who will never be satisfied, as all Sal Chlor's offers to assist NGE Member club have been refused. This is our one and only reply to these outrageous and false allegations by NGE Member club

Sal Chlor manufacture salt chlorinators for swimming pools. There is a design flaw in the salt cell in that the electrodes get pushed together by the water flow and short out the electrical control unit. The manufacturers are aware of this fault as they have worked out an after-market fix (bending the electrodes). However they only provide a one-year warranty on the electrical control unit so if the electrodes short out the system after a year, you have to pay to get the control box fixed.
I advise all to steer clear of Sal Chlor chlorinators. They come highly recommended by the pool shop/pool service company JC Pools in Brisbane so beware.
