Post subject: Very bad customer service
Organisation name: Exetel
Issue type: Complaint

Had a problem with my internet service which I tried to have resolved with Exetel . First point of contact with company was fine but as time went on and they couldnt or wouldnt resolve my issue they turn Feral. Exetel have no service standards and no customer service. Once they decide they dont want to deal with you any more they send rude ,nasty and condecending emails to their customers . Exetel is one of the worst companies I have ever had to contact or deal with. icon_evil.gif

Hope you kept all the emails and can print them out if needed.

Go to the Ombudsman - they will sort it out for you - I once had a problem with my ISP it got resolved quick smart - still with them even though many hate them.

Not even on contract - just month to month these days and they leave me alone - even refunded a charge when I complained - have now put on DU Meter which warns me if I am close to going over allowance etc. Worth having. Also my old plan keeps on going and is better than any of their new ones. icon_biggrin.gif

Found out they have to pay for any complaints.

Reckon that must be good - as it worked for me. icon_biggrin.gif

give it a go.

Hi 4th class What is a DU Meter, and how do I get one,I'm not very computer savvy, and have to keep checking with optus to see how much data I have left,
I always miss out on some as I'm wary of going over, and they charge like wounded bulls if you do.

Hi Hemel - go to usual 3 w's and then dot
dumeter dot com. that is the vendors site.

You get a free trial and it is easy to set up. If you like it - pay within about 30 days usual.

Just set it up for your allowance and also the day it starts from etc and it will warn you if you are getting close and also records daily use.
