best of luck with that , you will encounter rudeness , threats from their lawyers and then they will refer you to the Financial Ombudsman ( who they chip in to fund ) and you will find that they have made you waste a lot of time and money and you will still end up changing companies and they will spend more advertising dollars telling people to use them to take the WORRY out of insurance

Under Financial Services legislation, they must have a Dispute Resolution process. If you go to their website, and search Dispute Resolution, it will come up.

I had a complaint which I mentioned to an employee while in an NRMA branch paying a bill and was told the complaint needed to be lodged in writing to the branch I dealt with. I did so, and never even received an acknowledgement! So, follow the earlier advice and contain the ombudsman or whoever. I checked in the "Open Road" for a customer service number and couln't find one listed. (Incidentally, my complaint involved their battery replacement service, so I'll post it in the appropriate spot when I have time.)

Vote with your dollars at renewal time and be explicit when you tell them why. Many companies will honour existing no claims bonuses and other similar perks to get your business.

Does anyone know how or where to make a complaint to the NRMA. I currently have a claim with them and rang recently to find out information about the status of the claim. The person on the phone was rude, aggressive and unhelpful. Went into the local branch and was advised to contact the NRMA complaint resolution area. Phoned them and was told there was nothing they could do, I would have to speak to the claims manager. They said they would send him an email and even checked to ensure he was not on leave. Two days later still hadn't heard from him so I called him myself. Claimed he hadn't received the message from the complaints dept (sure!!!). Said he would call me back with the info I sought and he still hasn't bothered. I have 4 insurances with NRMA which I intend to withdraw as a result of their rudeness and inefficiency. I am met with a brick wall about who to complain to next. Does anyone have a contact email, address, phone number for the head of NRMA's claims area or any suggestions as to what I should do?
