Post subject: big rip off - beware of phone calls regarding new contracts
Organisation name: Optus Registered company is listening
Issue type: Complaint

I received a phone call from an Optus sales person, promising big rewards for renewing my contract (home phone, mobile, ADSL)for 12 months

I was very unhappy today when I received the online bill for my ADSL service. I was paying $32.80 per month for unlimited ADSL. The latest bill for the month of March was for $58.78.

This price increase was not explained to me. When I rang the helpline I was told that the new contract for unlimited ADSL had gone up!! The initial phone call from an Optus rep had not given any hint of this increase.

Please be careful - this could cost you a lot of money!

I cannot fault the Indian gentlemen I talked to this morning: in fact, I feel sorry for them, having to listen to people (I can't be the only one) complaining about this dishonest business practice. icon_evil.gif
