A word of caution regarding Harvey Norman

This sad tale relates to a $139 Nikon Coolpix 18 digital camera that I purchased from the Harvey Norman Preston store some time ago, and the hijinks I had to go through in order to obtain a replacement camera. To cut a very long story short, I resorted to writing to Nikon's Australian Managing Director, who referred my complaint to his Marketing Manager before I obtained a replacement camera. A waste of time, effort, and energy on my part. Harvey Norman were hopeless, and Nikon's repairer located in Collingwood - I think they are called the Camera Clinic - were donwright liars when it came to telling me what was wrong with my camera and when it would be repaired. Disgraceful behavior is putting it mildly! All in all, such a bad experience that I will not buy electronic goods again from Harvey Norman. JDC.
